Description ''BYRON, borrowing somewhat from the Bible, ...''

Clipping reads: [double rule] | FLIGHTS TO FLORIDA. | II. | ''Once more upon the waters.''
Notes Position: bottom left, continuing across two clippings to bottom right

Pseudonym Clytus is Greek word for ''famous'' and also a common Greek proper name (Kibler 44).

Clipping is the second of a twelve-part series of prose sketches about Florida that appeared in the Charleston Courier from Feb. 27 to May 9 of 1867 (Kibler 45).

In this second installment, Simms discusses the sea voyage to the northern coast of Florida.
